Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
The short version
- Your trades, journal, notes and rules are private. Only you can read them.
- We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.
- There are no advertising or tracking tools in TradeEdge.
- We collect only what TradeEdge needs to work for you.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete your account, at any time.
- Using TradeEdge means agreeing to follow the rules in section 7. Breaking them can lead to your account being suspended or closed.
Trading is personal. A journal only works if you can be completely honest in it, and you can only be honest in a place you trust. This policy explains, in plain words, how we earn that trust.
1. Who we are
TradeEdge ("we", "us", "our") is a trading journal and discipline platform at tradeedge.bond. This policy covers the TradeEdge website and app, and explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at team@tradeedge.bond and a real person will answer.
2. Our promises to you
- We do not sell your data. Not to brokers, not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and TradeEdge contains no advertising networks or tracking pixels.
- We do not read your journal for our own purposes. Your private data is locked to your account by the database itself.
- We do not give trading signals and we have no interest in which way you trade, so your trades are never used to trade against you or to sell you anything.
- We collect as little as possible. If a piece of information is not needed to run TradeEdge for you, we do not ask for it.
3. What we collect
Information you give us when you create an account:
- Your name, email address and password. Your password is never stored in readable form.
- If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, which Google shares with us to create and secure your account. We never receive your Google password.
- An optional profile photo and the profile details you choose to add.
Information you create while using TradeEdge:
- Your trades, journal entries, notes, playbook setups, drawings, strategies, rules, guardrails, routines and reminders.
- Your settings and preferences, such as your time zone, risk limits, theme and layout choices.
- Files you upload, such as your profile photo, images in your notes or community posts, and optional sounds for alerts.
- Questions you ask TradeEdge's assistant, and what you dictate with the microphone, so it can be answered or turned into text.
- Posts, comments and likes in the community, if you choose to take part.
- Answers to the short, optional surveys we sometimes show inside the app.
- If you buy a plan: the plan, the amount, the date and a payment reference. You enter your card details on the secure checkout page, and TradeEdge never sees or stores them.
- Your answers in the short welcome questions (what costs you most, where you are, what you want), so TradeEdge can set up your limits and routine, and so EdgeAI can coach you in a way that fits.
- If you use the free month: a small fingerprint of your card that the payment company gives us (never the card number), your email and your account number, kept so that one free month is given to each person and each card.
Information collected automatically, only for security:
- A record of the devices you sign in from (a device label and when it was last used), so we can email you when your account is opened on a device we have not seen before.
- When you send us a support message, the internet address it came from, used only to stop abuse of the support form.
If you add a phone number (optional): it is kept with your profile, only so TradeEdge can reach you about your account. No text message is sent to check it, and you can change or remove it any time in your profile.
If you connect a broker account through cTrader:
- You sign in on cTrader's own page. TradeEdge never sees or stores your cTrader or broker password.
- cTrader gives TradeEdge a key that allows only what you approve on that page: viewing prices and your account and, if you allow it, sending the orders you place yourself. The key is kept encrypted on our server and is never sent to your browser.
- We keep the account details needed to show the account to you: the broker's name, the account number, whether it is demo or live, its currency, leverage and balance.
- Prices and account figures are passed to your screen while you use TradeEdge; we do not keep a copy of them.
- You can disconnect at any time in Settings, under trading accounts, and you can also remove TradeEdge's access in your cTrader ID settings.
If you connect a DXtrade account:
- DXtrade has no separate access key, so you give TradeEdge the login number and password you use on your firm's DXtrade platform. The password is kept encrypted on our server, is used only to sign in at your firm and read your account, and is never sent back to your browser.
- TradeEdge only reads: your balance and the trades you finish. It never places, changes or closes a trade at your firm.
- If you add a firm that is not in our list, the web address of its platform is saved once a sign-in on it has worked, so other traders of that firm can pick it.
- You can disconnect at any time in the account window. The saved password is deleted at once; your journal and trades stay.
We do not collect your bank details or card numbers. For cTrader we never see your broker password; for DXtrade we keep it encrypted, as described above.
4. How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure.
- To save your journal, trades and settings, and show them back to you on every device you use.
- To calculate your statistics, patterns and progress, which only you see.
- To send you emails you need, such as sign-in codes, new-device alerts and replies to your support messages.
- To show live prices and your account figures from a broker account you connect, if you connect one.
- To run the community features you choose to use.
- To process your plan purchase and keep your plan active.
- To answer your questions to the assistant and turn what you dictate into text, when you use those features.
- To understand, from optional survey answers, what to build and improve next.
- To prevent abuse, such as flooding the support form, and to enforce the rules in section 7.
We do not use your data for anything else, and we never use it for advertising or profiling.
5. Who can see your data
Only you can see your trades, journal entries, notes, rules, routines, statistics and settings. This is enforced by security rules inside our database, not just by the app, so even a mistake in the app could not show your private data to another user.
Other traders can see only what you choose to share in the community: your name, your profile photo, and the posts and comments you publish. Nothing from your private journal or your results appears in the community unless you put it in a post yourself. You can delete your own posts and comments at any time.
The TradeEdge team can read support messages you send us, so we can answer them, and the answers you give in optional surveys. We do not browse your private journal.
Trusted partners that help us operate TradeEdge may handle data only to do that work for us, under strict confidentiality, and never for their own purposes. We do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.
6. Shared trading accounts
A demo trading account in TradeEdge holds only a balance. Anyone who has its login number and password can open it and change that balance, which is how sharing a demo account with a friend works. Keep these details private if you do not want to share the account. Whenever someone else opens your account, you are notified right away. Your trades, journal and notes always stay with your own TradeEdge account and are never shared through a demo account.
7. Rules for using TradeEdge
TradeEdge is a place for traders to grow with discipline. To keep it safe and fair for everyone, when you use TradeEdge you agree to these rules:
Your account
- Give true information when you sign up, and keep one account for yourself. Do not pretend to be someone else.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes private. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Do not sell, rent or hand over your account to another person.
The community
- Be respectful. No insults, harassment, threats, hate or bullying of any person or group.
- No sexual, violent or shocking content.
- No spam, advertising, referral links or selling, including paid signals, paid groups, courses or "account management".
- No scams or misleading claims: no promises of guaranteed profits, fake results, pump-and-dump schemes, or pushing others to buy or sell anything.
- Do not share anyone's private information, screenshots of private conversations, or content you do not have the right to share.
The platform
- Do not use TradeEdge for anything illegal, including fraud or money laundering.
- Do not try to break into TradeEdge or another person's account, get around our security, or test it for weaknesses without our written permission.
- Do not upload viruses or harmful files, or overload TradeEdge with automated requests, bots or scripts.
- Do not copy, scrape, resell or rebuild TradeEdge, its design, its charts or its content, and do not use them to make a competing product.
- Do not misuse shared demo accounts, the support form or the assistant, for example to harass people or send floods of messages.
8. When the rules are broken
If you break these rules, or use TradeEdge in a way that could harm other traders, TradeEdge or anyone else, we may, depending on how serious it is:
- warn you;
- remove your posts, comments or uploads;
- limit features, such as posting in the community;
- suspend your account for a time, or close it permanently, without notice in serious cases;
- stop you from creating a new account;
- report illegal activity to the authorities and share the information they lawfully ask for.
We may keep the records needed to protect TradeEdge and its traders, to handle disputes and to meet our legal duties, even after an account is closed for breaking the rules. You are responsible for any loss or damage you cause to TradeEdge or to others by breaking these rules. Anything paid for an account closed for breaking the rules is not refunded, unless the law says otherwise.
If you think we made a mistake, write to us at team@tradeedge.bond and a real person will look at it again.
9. Trading risk and your responsibility
- TradeEdge is not a broker and does not give financial advice. Statistics, insights, charts, community posts and the assistant's answers are for learning and self-review only. They are never a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
- Every trading decision is yours. Trading carries a high risk of loss, and you alone are responsible for your trades and their results.
- Prices can differ between sources. Prices and charts come from market data sources, and can differ slightly from what your broker shows at the same moment. Your broker's price is the one your order is actually filled at, so use it as your final reference when you trade.
- TradeEdge is a tool, not a guarantee. TradeEdge is built to help you plan, journal and trade with discipline, and it keeps growing with new features. It cannot promise any trading result. As far as the law allows, TradeEdge is not responsible for trading losses, lost profits or other indirect losses connected to using it, or to not being able to use it at a given moment.
10. Cookies and browser storage
TradeEdge uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember small preferences, such as light or dark theme, a collapsed sidebar or your notebook layout. These stay on your device. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Some charts and market content inside TradeEdge are provided by outside partners, which may use their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
11. How we protect your account
- New accounts are confirmed with a 6-digit code sent to your email.
- You get an email whenever your account is opened on a device we have not seen before.
- Your data is encrypted while it travels between your device and our servers, and stored encrypted.
- Passwords are never stored in readable form.
- Database security rules make sure each account can only reach its own private data.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take every reasonable step to protect your account. If we ever discover a breach that affects your data, we will tell you promptly and explain what happened and what we are doing about it.
12. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account exists, so your journal is there whenever you come back. When you delete something, such as a trade, a note or a post, it is removed from your account. When your account is deleted, the data connected to it is deleted with it. Support messages are kept so we can follow up on your request. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting.
One thing stays after an account is deleted: the note that a free month has been used (the card fingerprint, the email and the account number it was used with). It holds no trades, notes or other personal content, and it is kept only so that the free month cannot be taken again on a new account.
13. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can:
- See and correct your profile information at any time in Settings.
- Delete any trade, journal entry, note, post or comment yourself, at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your account and the data connected to it.
- Ask us any question about how your data is used.
To make any of these requests, email team@tradeedge.bond from the address on your account. We will answer, and confirm by email once your request is done. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
14. Age
TradeEdge is made for adults. Trading carries real financial risk, and our service is not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your personal data in a meaningful way, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email or inside the app. If you keep using TradeEdge after a change, you accept the updated policy and rules.
16. Contact us
Questions, requests or concerns about your privacy can be sent to team@tradeedge.bond. A real person reads every message and will reply to your email.
